Our little tree

Friday night we decided to stay home and decorate our tree.  We had a great time.  Every year my mom has gotten me a new ornament.  Chris got his first one 2 years ago and Carter will get his first one this year.  So my tree may not match but it has alot of memories.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Thanksgiving was a great day.  For the first time in 8 years I had Thanksgiving with Tabitha and her family.  We spent the day with my family and the evening with Chris's Family.  We had a great time with each family.  Played games and had great food.

Our little family.  Love this picture

I am very thankful for Chris and Carter. They bring me so much joy and love and I feel lucky to be a mom and a wife to these two guys.  We are grateful for our health this year. Hopefully we can keep it that way.  We are blessed for two wonderful families that support and love us. Lastly I am grateful towards my God who has given me so much and continues to look over my family.

BLACK FRIDAY
Every year I have been getting up at 4 am not to shop but to work and for the first time I woke up that early and shopped.  Chris and I had so much fun.  We didn't really need to buy anything but we found a few good deals for a few people we need to buy for.  The only place we went to was Target.  After two hours we got breakfast went home and back to bed.  The best way to shop is with family and a plan.  We knew where in the store to go, don't grab a cart cause carts get jammed and have one buy their presents and while they stand in line you go get yours. Then by the time you are done with shopping you are a few customers away from checking out.
This picture of me, Chris took this picture and then he says "you want to see if it's a good one?" I say "no, if you like it, I am sure it will do." Bad idea because I look so gross and my husband still finds me attractive.

Can you believe it???

Carter is 6 mos old today.  We are so excited to be this age.  I love having a baby but I can not wait for him to keep getting bigger.  I get so excited when he learns something and he is so much fun now , so I think as he keeps getting older he will be even more fun.

You can see how chubby his cheeks are and how fat his hands are.  I have more pictures but they are not downloaded so I will put some up tomorrow.

He ...
laughs
smiles, all the time.
loves bath time
loves to be with other kids
loves to stand and hold on to things while standing
can sit but not that great at balancing
can roll over
he is so much like me when it comes to sleeping.  He will sleep in so late in the mornings like 10am even though he went to sleep at 8:30 the night before.
Eats fruits and veggies
LOVES< LOVES< LOVES his mom and dad
gets a little nervous around new people
covers to nuzzle his blanket or giraffe against his face when trying to nap.
He is 18 lbs 4 oz
26 1/2 inches long.
Wears 6-9 month clothes.
Thinks it's so funny when you try to eat his hands.

He is just the best thing ever.  Still looks exactly like Chris.  I get so excited when I see him I hug him real tight and kiss all over.  Poor kid, he will hate it when he is older but right now he has no say in the matter.  Best of all he still loves to cuddle.  I am grateful for him and his health.  He is the second best thing I have ever done.  If you wonder what was the first..marrying Chris!

More pictures have the little chunk this week.  Until then have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Have you ever...

blown a tire on the freeway?  Well today I did and it was so terrifying.  The worst part about it is that I was in the construction zone passed 106th S and there is no where to pull of to the side for assistence,   You would think that people pay attention to a stopped car in the lane  but some do not and that makes it scarey.  A nice man from UDOT cam behind me and called Highway patrol to come direct traffic away from me and on top of that we have highway assistance.( I was waiting on a tow truck, needless to say they were not please when I called them and told them not to come. )I had no idea what that was, well for those of you that do not know, if you dial *11 on your cell they will send a truck that will help fix your car, change your tire or anything else if they can't do it then they get you a tow truck.  SO this little helper is free, my tax dollars pay for it. Glad they go somewhere that benefits me.  SO today I was grateful to UHP and their tango team, as he called it.  I am also grateful that Chris's boss let him leave work to help me.  When I met chris at the next exit we learned that our donut was flat, good thing we where in a shopping center with a discount tire.  An hour and a half later I arrive home with 2 new tires, a sleeping baby and a head ache from crying.  Some may have not cried but I was scared and clueless.  I know am going to learn to change a tire and dial *11 if something like this happens again.  Hopefully this will help if not make a good little chuckle.

11-6-09

I have  had a group of friends since I got home from my mission which has been almost 7 years. We have spent every birthday together and so many more events.  Our favorite thing to do it get together and eat.  Sometimes we eat at restaurants and the other times we get together at someones house.  Mark was not there and either was John and Angie, we missed them.

Stan, Amanda, Jonny and Katie (his new girlfriend and I like her alot)

Amanda just bought a new house and it is so cute.  We had a great time and great food.

Anything is fun when it's free

On 11-5-09 Chris was going to the Jazz vs Spurs game with his work. He was really excited because they had a suite for them.  He found out that they had extra tickets for spouses so Grandma Rass said she would watch Carter and we were off.  It was probably the coolest thing in the world. I mean I really don't care for basketball, I don't mind going because I understand it and when your this close with your own personal chef it is even better.

Thanks AF for a fun night.

BOO..I see you

Happy Halloween!!  Saturday was not that big of a day for us.  Maybe when he is  a little older this will be a bigger deal.  We had lunch with Chris's Family- Lynzie, Marq, Emily, Randy, Kae and Bob.  Then we went to the Utes vs. Wyoming game.  Carter went to my mom's house.  He usually loves to be at my mom's but he didn't tonight.  He was so upset he just cried and cried so after half time when I called to check in, I could not stay knowing he was so upset.  So I was going to leave but Chris, Angie and John were sweet enough to come with me.  We got there and everything was fine.  He calmed down while we were on our way.

Yesterday we went to my mom's office and the kids trick or treated thru the office.  Carter did great and we had a great time.  Then we went over to Chris's dad's office.
